Awesome Games Done Quick (or AGDQ) is an annual gaming marathon event to raise money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. It connects charity with the ever-growing popularity of being a huge gaming nerd.

This year’s event raised over $1 million for PCF, so nobody could claim that the dudes in this video are heartless jerks. It looks that way for a minute, though, when the only visible female on camera starts talking about her grandmother, how she passed away from cancer, and how she believes she has a 50% of getting cancer in her lifetime.

The guys, awkward and squeamish already, look considerably more so as the story continues. At one point, she says “Can you stop?” to the gentleman dressed as a fictional sprite, who continues playing. Eventually, as nobody can take it anymore, the guys start applauding, which seems to break things up a little bit and get everyone back on the same page.

Let’s also remember: this event raised $1 million for cancer prevention and education, so this moment is a small price to pay.
