The Tuesday before Super Bowl Sunday is “Media Day,” when all the top players get in front of the cameras for a big flashy press conference for drooling members of the sports media.
If you didn’t already know, Marshawn Lynch hates stuff like that. He regularly delivers one-word answers to any and all questions. For example:
Q: “Marshawn, how do you feel the offensive line held up consider the loss of your left guard?”
A: “Yeah.”
Q: “Marshawn, to what do you attribute your team’s success in the fourth quarter?”
A: “Yeah.”
Yeah.
But, he can’t just not do the interviews, or else the NFL, in all its totally-non-totalitarian wisdom, will fine him $50,000 or more. So he showed up on media day, and gave the same exact answer to every question: “I just here so I won’t get fined.”
