  • The terrorist group ISIS is calling for the death of Twitter founder Jack Dorsey and Twitter employees over the company’s practice of banning terrorist accounts.

In a post on Sunday, an unidentified ISIS supporter warns, “Your virtual war on us will cause a real war on you.”

As the terrorist group wages a campaign of murder and brutality across Iraq and Syria, they have also engaged in a sophisticated public relations campaign online. The group has made headlines posting videos of heinous acts across platforms like Twitter and Youtube. Their high-tech outreach arm has aided in making the group the most feared terrorist operation in the world today.

Twitter has fought back, deleting terrorist accounts as soon as they are identified. According to DailyDot, over 20,000 ISIS-supporting accounts were banned in the past week. For a group that relies on online platforms to further their reach, this was a huge blow.

The alleged ISIS post says, “We told you from the beginning its now your war, but you didn’t get it and kept closing our accounts on Twitter, but we always come back.”

Along with the post was a photoshopped image of Dorsey with crosshairs over his face.

Speaking with Buzzfeed, a spokesperson for Twitter said, “Our security team is investigating the veracity of these threats with relevant law enforcement officials.”
