Princess Diaries fans everywhere are going nuts after The Tracking Board announced that Disney is moving forward with development of Princess Diaries 3. The producer of the first two films, Debra Chase, is reportedly set to return; however, none of these rumors have actually been confirmed by anyone except The Tracking Board.
Fans had even more reason to believe that this is not a joke when Heather Matarazzo, who played Princess Mia’s quirky best friend Lilly Moscovitz, tweeted “Well here is some good news for #PrincessDiaries fans.”
Leading-lady Anne Hathaway has said that she had a hard time breaking out of the good girl stereotype after her role as Princess of Genovia. Who knows if she’d even be on board to return 11 years after the sequel?
