Tesco’s Cheap Meat Feeding Frenzy Shocks Customers

  • You might rethink the stereotype that all British people are polite after watching this video of Tesco shoppers fighting on the floor for cheap meat products.

    A Tesco Extra supermarket in Northampton, England is now internet famous after causing a brawl over discount steak and chicken, which they placed in trays close to the floor by the meat counter.

    The crowd of shoppers, apparently desperate for cheap food, was ordered to stand back and sit down, and then started shoving and fighting each other to get at the produce.

    Apparently this kind of thing happens every evening.

    Shopper Johnny Lester who filmed the incident said he was worried someone was going to get hurt.

    “They were literally climbing over each other and pushing in just to get some reduced chicken. They were like scenes you see at refugee camp in Africa, not in 21st century Britain.”

    A spokesman for Tesco said the company was carrying out a full investigation to ensure it did not happen again. “The safety of our customers and colleagues is of paramount importance to us.”

    The video has racked up more than 2 million Facebook views since yesterday.
