Check out This Perfectly Retro “Wet Hot American Summer” Trailer

The weather may be humid where you live, but is it wet hot? No, that distinction is only appropriate for Maine’s Camp Firewoord, the fictional home of the misfits in Wet Hot American Summer. The 2001 summer camp classic is coming back, thanks for Netflix. The streaming service is coming out with an 8-episode series. Incredibly, most of the original cast is back on hand, including Amy Poehler, Christopher Meloni, Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Cooper, Ken Marino, Janeane Garofalo, Molly Shannon and Paul Rudd.

Also incredibly, the cast is doubling-down on the decade-long break and is setting the Netflix series as a prequel to the original. Yes, they may look older. Yes, they’re still campers and counselors. It’s going to be awesome.

Wet Hot American Summer premieres on Netflix July 31st.
