  • The latest in awesome drone footage is this bird’s-eye view of Detroit’s historic Park Avenue Hotel as it was demolished to make room for the new Detroit Arena.

The hotel was built in 1924 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and was also known for the large “Zombiland” graffiti on the top of the building – but the Detroit Red Wings need a new home, so down it went.

At least the DJI Phantom 2 Drone got some pretty amazing shots of the stripped-down building and a great view of the demolition.
