After 17 years as host, Jon Stewart said a final farewell to “The Daily Show” last night, and pretty much everyone showed up to see him off.

He did a scripted bit with his former partner in crime, Stephen Colbert, who then moved Stewart to tears by going off script to thank him for everything.

“You are infuriatingly good at your job!” Colbert said. “And all of us who were lucky enough to work with you for 16 years are better at our jobs because we got to watch you do yours. And we are better people for having known you. You are a great artist and a good man.” The speech ended with a pretty epic group hug.

Stewart also recognized the staff and crew of “The Daily Show” with a Scorsese-esque tracking shot through the office, and ended with a final moment of Zen with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

Celebrities and comedians like Jerry Seinfeld, Rob Huebel, Aubrey Plaza, Josh Gad and Jennifer Grey have tweeted their goodbyes as well.

Here’s the full segment with Stephen Colbert – grab your tissues.
