Kanye West is Running for President!

So basically Kanye West announced he’s running for President at the VMAs over the weekend, after “rolling up a little something” before the show. Sounds about right.

Kanye won the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award last night at the MTV Video Music Awards and launched into an 11 minute acceptance speech/sermon/rant. He opened with a story about going to the grocery store with his daughter before apologizing to Taylor Swift about the “Imma let you finish” moment at the 2009 VMAs. (Later in the evening, though, he’d pretend to fall asleep as Taylor was accepting her award for Best Video of the Year – which could have been snarky, or maybe just reassurance that he wasn’t going to storm the stage again.)

In his speech, Kanye also said it was wrong that Justin Timberlake beat Cee-Lo and Gnarls Barkley at the Grammys in 2007, called himself a Millennial and said he didn’t get the point of awards shows anyway.
