High School Bully Beats Up Blind Kid

A high school student in Huntington Beach was hitting a fellow student who is legally blind when another student, Cody Pine, intervened and punched the bully in the side of the head.

A few days later, the story is so big that the school has issued a public statement, while tens of thousands of people sign a petition to have Pine reinstated to the football team – though from his Twitter account, it seems he quit football a year ago and people just made up the part that he was punished by the school.

In the meantime, he’s been retweeting people calling him an American hero, including talk show host Montel Williams. Good for him for standing up for someone, but hopefully this media freakout doesn’t encourage kids to get into fist fights.
