This movie’s starting to look pretty disturbing.

  • You should prepare for deep psychological scars after watching “Suicide Squad,” if the new promo pics hitting the internet are any indication.

If you needed any more evidence that Jared Leto would be able to step out of Heath Ledger’s shadow in his portrayal of The Joker, check out the new full-length pictures from “Suicide Squad” in the latest Empire Magazine.

  • Joker 2
  • Yeah, I can see that character being pretty terrifying.

Leto went all-out to get into The Joker’s warped brain. “There was definitely a period of… detachment,” he told Empire. “I took a pretty deep dive. But this was a unique opportunity and I couldn’t imagine doing it another way. It was fun, playing those psychological games.”

Asked how difficult it was, Leto said: “It was painful, like giving birth out of my prick-hole.”

That’s quite a mental image, thanks, dude.

  • If it was that painful for him, imagine how it must have been for his costars when he basically refused to break character during the entire shoot.

Actor Jim Parrack, who plays Joker henchman Johnny Frost, got the worst of it, as Leto would randomly call him during the day demanding he spray paint some roses black or fill a backpack with nine inch nails.

We’ve also got this shot of Cara Delevigne as Enchantress, proving to countless fanboys (and fangirls, let’s be real) that you can be terrified and turned on at the same time.

  • Enchantress
  • “She’s an ancient sorceress,” Delevigne says. “A feral being. She’s been trapped for so long and now she’s finally let out.” Enchantress escapes by taking over the body of June Moone, an adventure seeker who explores a cave and ends up possessed.

We’ve sure come a long way since “Paper Towns.”
