Lindsay Lohan is no stranger to controversy and today she’s ruffled more than a few feathers with this cryptically timed Instagram post. Lohan posted a picture of herself dressed as the late actress Sharon Tate with the caption “I LOVE SHARON TATE #CANCERmeetsAQUARIUS #themelook #hippieWINTERCHIC,”

The issue? Tate was murdered by Charles Manson’s followers in 1969. Today also just happens to be Manson’s birthday. Luckily he is spending it behind bars due to his 9 consecutive life sentences.

Many were reasonably turned off by the timing of Lohan’s posts.
