When you have over a hundred people making you look like a superstar on your world tour, the least you can do to say thanks is rent out an island in Australia for all of them to have an exclusive vacation.

I mean that’s just good old fashioned manners.

Taylor Swift is reaching the end of her 1989 World Tour.  The last show will take place on December 12th in Melbourne, Australia. She turns 26 the next day.

To celebrate, she decided to take all 125 crew members on a vacation to Hamilton Island, off the coast of Queensland. She wrote in an Instagram post yesterday, “So stoked to be able to take my band and crew on a vacation at the end of a wonderful tour. For all their hard work this year, they really deserve it.”

A spokesperson for Hamilton Island stated that a number of media outlets were turned away from the island to give the Taylor crew privacy. So, essentially, she rented out the entire island for her crew.

She also took a quick trip to New Zealand with her family, where she filmed a video on a beach and did NOT trample on endangered birds’ nests while she was at it, her film crew insists. Conservationists got their feathers ruffled (sorry) over reports that Swift’s crew used over a dozen vehicles on the protected Bethells Beach near Auckland when they only had permission for two; but Cherokee Films said they followed permits and ordinances at all times, and that the birds aren’t even nesting that time of year, what’s the big deal.

So what did YOUR boss get you for the holidays? We’re probably getting gift cards or something.
