After this impressive real-life rescue from Jamie Foxx, I guess we can forgive him for his role in the last “Spider-Man” movie.
The Hollywood actor helped rescue a man from a burning truck after the driver flipped and crashed his pickup in front of Foxx’s home in Ventura County.
Brett Kyle was reportedly drunk when his truck left the road, hit a drainage ditch and rolled several times. It landed on its side and caught fire with him still inside.
Foxx ran out to the truck and helped an off-duty EMT cut the man out of his seat belt and drag him from the truck.
”As I’m getting him out, I said, ‘You’ve got to help me get you out because I don’t want to have to leave you. You’ve angels around you.’ […] I don’t look at it as heroic. I look at it as .. you just had to do something.”
Ventura County Fire Department spokesman Capt. Mike Lindbery said it was a pretty courageous move. “It’s rare these days that you find someone willing to jump in to help like that.”
