  • Can we just take a moment to appreciate that the latest misinformed opinion about diversity in entertainment comes from a woman officially known as “Clueless actress Stacey Dash”?

Dash, who more or less disappeared from showbiz after “Clueless” and eventually joined Fox News as their Some Of My Best Friends are Black correspondent, weighed in on Jada Pinkett Smith’s suggestion that minority actors should withdraw their support from the Oscars over the all-white acting nominations.

  • “We have to make up our minds,” she said. “Either we want segregation or integration, and if we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards, where you’re only awarded if you’re black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard.”

She also said there shouldn’t be a Black History Month because there’s no White History Month, and – of course – blamed the whole thing on President Obama.

“What I found astounding is that we’ve had a president, who is black, in office for the past eight years who gets most of his funding from the liberal elite in Hollywood, and yet there are not that many roles for people of color. How can that be?”

Sooo, she’s saying that because Hollywood liberals donate money to Obama, he should have passed laws requiring Hollywood execs to hire minority actors? Or maybe that Hollywood elites are hypocritical for supporting a black president when they don’t hire black actors? I don’t even know, she’s kind of all over the place here.

Donald Trump wholeheartedly agreed with her when he appeared on Fox News later in the day.
