  • You’re going to cry watching this, just be warned.

In 2013, Heather Clark lost her seven-month-old baby Lukas. She bravely decided to donate her child’s organs, and his heart went to a baby girl named Jordan Drake, who was born with a congenital heart defect and would have died without a donor.

Years later, she got the chance to meet Jordan, now a healthy little girl, and her mother Esther Gonzalez.

The two mothers cried and hugged as they met each other for the first time. “Thank you,” Esther whispered, “thank you.”

Heather wept again as she listened to her son’s heart in Jordan’s chest through a stethoscope. “It’s so strong.”

Esther told reporters that when she learned about the organ donation, she spent the night crying because she knew the donor’s family had just lost a child.

Heather said in a statement before the meeting, “It’s a miracle that we connected and that Jordan is living happy and healthy with Lukas’ heart beating inside her. I’m so in love with this little girl that I’ve never met. I can’t wait to wrap my arms around her.”
