  • If zombies are creatures that just won’t friggin’ die even when they’re already dead, there’s truly no better person to write and star in a zombie film than one of the Backstreet Boys. Currently in between their 16th and 17th reunion tours, several members of BSB teamed up with some dudes from *NSYNC, a guy from 98 Degrees, and another guy from O-Town (you know, that Making the Band band) to star in a Syfy original zombie movie written by Boy Nick Carter and produced by The Asylum, the company that has brought us a multitude of classic films including Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies, Titanic II, and all the Sharknado films.

All those ingredients mixed together give us a pretty good idea of what this film, Dead 7, is going to be. And you know what? We’re going to enjoy it. If the boybands we grew up with refuse to die and allow us to remember them in all their sweet crooning, hair-flipping glory, we might as well watch them die gloriously in an absolutely ridiculous movie. Together. Minus the ones who actually still have careers/didn’t quite make the cut/had better things to do while this was shooting.

Dead 7 premieres on Syfy on April 1st! Well that’s appropriate.
