“Electra Woman & Dyna Girl” is Almost Here!

If there’s one thing the world needs more of, it’s YouTube stars and besties-for-life Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart wearing spandex and punching people — so we’re super excited that the trailer for their new superhero movie “Electra Woman and Dyna Girl” is finally here.

The upcoming movie stars Grace as Electra Woman and Hannah as her partner Dyna Girl, two small-time superheroes taking down criminals in Middle-of-Nowhere, Ohio.

When a YouTube video of one of their crime-fighting adventures goes viral, an agent in Hollywood signs them up, gives them flashy new costumes and sends them out to take on the bad guys in the streets of Los Angeles — just in time for a mysterious super-villain to show up. But their new fame nearly breaks up the crime-fighting duo as the media keeps focusing on Electra Woman and dismissing Dyna Girl as her sidekick.

“Electra Woman and Dyna Girl” is a reboot of a 1970’s TV series, the campiest show you’ve ever seen in your life, which intentionally spoofed the classic “Batman & Robin” series. So from the looks of things, the new movie will put an internet comedy, “Grace and Hannah fan fiction” spin on a nostalgic parody of the superhero genre — so freaking meta.
