Weekend Web Series: “Inside the Extras Studio”

Any actor can steal the spotlight, but it takes a special kind of talent for an actor to blend into the background so well that you probably won’t even recognize them.

In this web series spoof of “Inside the Actors Studio,” host Milt Hamilton (played by award-winning actor Barry Bostwick of “Rocky Horror Picture Show” fame) introduces an audience of two students and a laugh track to talented background actors that people have loved to ignore over the years.

“Very few people understand the vital role an extra plays in everything from television shows to commercials,” Milt said at the start of Season 1. “And that’s because if an extra does their job right, the viewer doesn’t even know they’re there. Like a vampire.”

The show recently returned for Season 2 featuring a bunch of our favorite social media stars, like YouTube voice artist Brizzy Voices, “Team StarKid” actors Lauren Lopez and Joey Richter, “Lizzie Bennet Diaries” stars Ashley Clements and Mary Kate Wiles, and singing YouTuber Jon Cozart.
