  • Yeah, I know, we’re big fans of pups here at What’s Trending, especially skilled dogs like this Lion Dancing Pomeranian, this Husky who busts a move, and this super Helpful Dog, but Lizzy the Australian Sheep dog from Germany might take the dog biscuit-flavored cake. This week at least.

I know, I know, it’s not a new video, but it’s gotten a burst of popularity this week (adding to it’s 7 million + views) and it’s got the theme music from The Last Unicorn! If you haven’t seen that amazing 1980’s bit of magic, remedy that pronto so you can join in the nostalgic fun. I consider it a prerequisite for friendship.

Sandra Roth (Lizzy’s human) writes on the Open European HTM & Freestyle Championship page, “I’ve been a ballet and jazz dancer for over 24 years now. Freestyle and HTM combine my two hobbies (or passions): dogs and dance. So this is the perfect sports for us.” HTM stands for Heelwork to Music, btw. I looked it up.

It also happens to be the perfect sport for multiple Britain’s Got Talent contestants over the years. In 2015 Dog-Dancers Jules O’Dwyer and Matisse even won, then faced controversy when it was discovered a stunt double dog was used in the finale instead of Matisse. The horror!

What do you think? Is Dog-Dancing going to become huge, or is it just a sport for wealthy white ladies with lots of free time? Let us know in the comments below or @WhatsTrending on Twitter!
