Celebrities Audition to Be Young Han Solo

There was a lot of chatter leading up to the final casting announcement as to who would play the role of young Han Solo in his upcoming solo film, a role that ultimately went to Alden Ehrenreich.

But was he the right choice for the part?

Conan O’Brien rounded up some of Hollywood’s top actors for a “leaked auditions” video. We’re talking Melissa McCarthy, Jodie Foster, Jeff Goldblum…even 50 Cent gave it his best shot. Each celebrity gives the audition their own unique and hilarious spin, and it’s well worth the watch. And we can fairly confidently say that yes, Ehrenreich was at the very least a better choice than all of these actors. Even though they should all have their own films in the Star Wars universe anyway. All female reboot of the franchise starring Melissa McCarthy, anyone? Maybe someday, but we’ve got Rey now, and she’s worth keeping around.
