  • Yesterday, Hillary Clinton officially became the first woman to be nominated for President by a major party, with the final call for nomination coming from none other than Senator Bernie Sanders. She was promptly rewarded with an a cappella version of “Fight Song” recorded by Elizabeth Banks and celebrity friends. But some Sanders supporters still aren’t on board — and Seth Meyers is calling them out.

Although plenty of Sandersnistas have resigned themselves to voting for Clinton, there are still a few who protested furiously at the 2016 Democratic National Convention.

Meyers, however, isn’t having any of it. He addressed the remaining Bernie holdouts with a new segment the show is calling “Hey.” Here’s an excerpt:

You’re like a Cavaliers fan who goes to the games and boos when LeBron dunks with the wrong hand… Bernie did a great job. You did a great job. Your passion changed the Democratic party, and that is no small thing. You should be proud of yourselves for his campaign. But also, you have to be quiet now.

Reaction has been mixed. The silent majority, about 65% of people as of this writing, have liked the video. But the comment section has rushed to accuse Meyers of “trying to cover corruption”, being “controlled by his bosses”, and being an “anti-white Leftist traitor”. (Yeesh.)

What do you think? Is it time for Bernie supporters to do everything they can to stop Trump from getting elected, or is Seth Meyers an “anti-white Leftist traitor”? Let us know in the comments below or @WhatsTrending on Twitter.
