If imitation is the truest form of flattery, then YouTube spoofs are showing their originators a lot of love. That’s definitely the case when Caspar Lee and Conor Maynard take to the streets to replicate an episode of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke.
We all know Carpool Karaoke at this point. And while Corden wasn’t the first to snag a famous singer and make them sing along to their own tunes with him in a car, he’s certainly made it popular. So Lee follows his lead and picks up Maynard, who has an upcoming cover album to promote, and they sing along to some popular songs. Or they try to, at least. And they may run into some trouble along the way… literally.
All in all, it’s a fun spoof that will be enjoyed by fans of these guys and fans of Carpool Karaoke alike.
