Nigahiga Tricks His Mom Into Rapping Eminem

Hearing your out-of-touch parents accidentally make a pop culture reference somehow never stops being funny. Tricking them into doing it is even better. And that’s exactly what YouTuber Ryan Higa (better known to some as Nigahiga) decided to do when his mom came to visit.

Sure, Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” may not be incredibly relevant in 2016, but we all know it. Well, except Nigahiga’s mom. He starts off his video by explaining how he kept making references to the 8 Mile hit while eating his mom’s spaghetti, and she just had no idea what he was talking about. So he came up with the idea to trick her into saying the lyrics so he could edit them together to make a “rap.” Rather, trick her into saying words like the lyrics.

If you like Nigahiga and/or adorable parents getting tricked into doing their children’s bidding, and you can overlook repeated misuses of the word “pun,” you’ll probably get a kick out of this video.
