Let’s give a round of applause to Warner Brothers for fully understanding copyright law!
All jokes aside, the entertainment company filed some DMCA takedown notices that included some interesting entries:
Whelp, Warner Bros. asked to pull down their own websites for The Matrix and The Dark Knight. Now, this is a pretty glaring error on their part, but considering they’re trying to pull down other sites in this new campaign, you’d think they’d double, nay even triple check their lists.
The company used a copyright protection company known as Vobile which has automated processes for detecting copyright violations on websites. According to Mashable, Vobile “enables fully automated identification, tracking and management of any video and audio content with high accuracy and scalability.”
Yup, super accurate. Good job guys!
