  • Justin Timberlake is back with a new Netflix special, and it seems like the streaming giant finally gets the whole “Netflix and chill” meme. (Sex. It means sex.) The concert experience (which Netflix has some experience with) is called Justin Timberlake and the Tennessee Kids, which is also the name of Timberlake’s backing band.

The special is directed by Jonathan Demme, who has directed numerous concert films before, including the Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense, multiple Neil Young concerts, and multiple music videos for Bruce Springsteen. Demme is also responsible for two of the greatest films ever made (in my humble opinion), The Silence of the Lambs and Philadelphia, so rest assured that JT is in good hands.

The newly released trailer, showcasing the pre-concert, features Timberlake getting his band ready for the final concert of the tour — a tour that spanned 347 concerts across more than two years. In other words, if you’ve been wondering where Timberlake has been lately, this is where.

What do you think? Are you ready for a new Justin Timberlake concert on Netflix? Should Netflix have more concert specials? Let us know in the comments or @WhatsTrending on Twitter.
