This Week in Heroism: Guy Saves Skunk With Coke Can on Head

Not all heroes wear capes. Some are Russian dudes who save kittens from highways. Some are Canadian dudes who save skunks from a dangerous Coke problem.

Get ready to feel good inside, because here’s the original video of Mike MacMillan rescuing a skunk whose head got stuck in a Coke can:

The video, entitled “The bravest thing I’ve ever done,” is worth watching all the way through to really get a sense of the dramatic tension MacMillan goes through in his rescue. The highs, the lows, the risk of getting sprayed — that stuff does NOT come out, by the way — it all makes the ultimate payoff all the sweeter. (If you’re too impatient to sit through a video that’s about as long as “Fell In Love With a Girl,” the moment of truth gets started at around 1:30.)
