  • Last week was arguably Donald Trump’s worst of the election, including urging America to check out a sex tape it turns out doesn’t exist. But if you thought Trump was slowing down with the horror, you’re wrong.

Early this week, Donald Trump took questions in Herndon, Virginia, after a speech to the Retired American Warriors Town Hall. Story comes courtesy of BuzzFeed. Trump was eventually asked what he would do to help the troops suffering from PTSD, including those who complete suicide.

In addition to his calls for “a mental health help and medical,” he said “they can’t handle it”.

Trump, who never served in the military, and who has been called a draft dodger, should have no say as to a veteran’s strength — especially if the widely reported New York Times story that he may have avoided paying taxes for nearly two decades turns out to be true. Taxes, for the uninitiated, pay to support the troops.

    Trump’s full comments:

”When people come back from war, and combat, and they see things that, uh, maybe a lot of the folks in this room have seen many times over, and you’re strong, and you can handle it, but a lot of people can’t handle it. And they see horror stories, they see events that you couldn’t see in a movie, nobody would believe it.”

As if his various comments about women weren’t enough, his comments about the men and women serving our country (including their families) should make America angry. He continues on to explain what PTSD is to a room full of veterans, when he has never been to war and his biggest exposure to it is likely from cursory viewing of the news. This man, who believes that the troops simply do not have enough “strength”, could be in charge of them.
