Watch “Pen Pineapple Apple Pen” Performed With Actual Fruit

You know “Pen Pineapple Apple Pen”? No? You should. It’s the worst song of 2016. It’s also perhaps the catchiest, and Andrew Huang is now here to figure out the absurd lyrics of the song everyone loves to hate: “PPAP.”

Huang starts the video by performing the catchy melody of PPAP. With actual pineapples, apples, and pens. So that’s great. And then he starts to show visuals of the actual lyrics. Y’know, sticking pens into pineapples and apples. That kind of thing.

When it comes time for the actual PPAP, Huang is all of us. He’s confused and wondering what the hell just happened, just like we all were after listening to/watching PPAP for the first time. Just so confused. Like, what actually is PPAP? Is it a song at all? Or did I just make it up in my head and it’s now somehow in the world? Both.
