These Cute Dogs and Cats Hate Christmas

Pets have the ability to be more sane than their human counterparts. They proved that this week when Twitter had this Twitter Moment. In it, pets are shown reacting negatively to the whole Christmas thing. Can’t say I blame them. It’s a difficult time of year! Not all pets hate Christmas, though — apparently a lot of cats secretly love Christmas trees.

When these pets see anything Christmas-related, they don’t want it. They don’t need it. That’s just adding stress into their very stress-free lives. So get it out. Cut it out. Leave them in peace in their tree-less lives. Please.

So please, stop expecting your pets to get into the Christmas spirit. Enjoy their Bah Humbug-ness. One of my favorite ornaments growing up was of my dog wearing antlers and just looking generally uncomfortable. She destroyed those antlers. It was great.

But some pets do get into the Christmas spirit, and they’re great too. I guess what I’m saying is, whatever your pet’s stance on the holiday spirit, love them just the same. They’ve done nothing wrong.
