Sometimes you have to hand it to the teachers. They’re there for you, educate you, and the best of them make you feel special — like you belong in a world that seems to constantly tell you that you don’t. Barry White Jr., a fifth-grade teacher in North Carolina, is one such teacher.
The act of having a unique handshake for all the kids is two-fold — one, it brings them excitement at the beginning of the day, as Mr. White explains to Yahoo — “I’m always pumped up, and then we start doing the moves and that brings them excitement and pumps them up for a high-energy class”.
All we know is all of this. The handshake-palooza you’re seeing? It’s almost sickeningly adorable. Ridiculously adorable. Good sir, you have succeeded at being absolutely adorable. Can you imagine having a teacher that excited to see you? A delight.
