  • Amongst Jordan Peele’s directorial debut Get Out‘s many chilling moments a few stand out more than others. Splitting your cereal and milk. The spoon in the teacup. Bingo cards. And when the groundskeeper of the Armitage House — the house owned by the white family — runs at full speed at our protagonist Chris, only to change paths at the last minute. This moment in specific has captured the internet’s imagination and resulted in the Get Out Challenge.

The Get Out Challenge is made up of a participant running towards the camera but then — like in the film — he turns a corner and runs in the other direction. Chilling. But exciting! Here are a few of our favorite examples.

  • Fantastic.

It’s rare that a challenge on the internet is inspired by a big budget movie rather than something insane such as Chuck E. Cheese or banana peels or whatnot, but its rare we gets a movie quite as unique as Get Out. Let’s hope this is not the end of witnessing fandom for the film, and that the Get Out Challenge doesn’t go away soon.
