With Trump cutting PBS funding, along with so many other government programs in the arts, a lot of us are going to be hit very hard. PBS funding is a drop in the bucket compared to so many other funds (defense for one), and many are set to lose jobs, including the crew down at Sesame Street. In the sketch above, we see the future that befalls good little monsters like Elmo as he’s given the bad news, given deeply disrespectful job opportunities, truly unworthy of an Elmo, and given a letter of recommendation (a letter F, sadly).
In the end, we see a sight that we would never want to see — Elmo sans his voice! Truly tragic! But I have good news — you can stop this by supporting PBS! Just go to to PBS’s support hub and make a donation, or contact your local representative and ask them to keep PBS funded here.
