Will Nuggs Guy Get His Nuggs?

If you were on Twitter, you know now full well the saga of Carter Wilkerson, aka Nuggs Guy. On one fateful April 5th, 2017, at approximately 7:31 PM, if the time stamps are to be believed, Carter Wilkerson asked Wendy’s how many retweets he would need in order to get a full free year of chicken nuggets. Wendy’s proclaimed eighteen million, an unlikely number to reach — and still is! Carter tweeted out “HELP ME PLEASE. A MAN NEEDS HIS NUGGS.”

Hold on, let me put that in a blockquote.

And the internet hath heard and retweeted. It may not reach 18 million, but still, you can’t help but be impressed with just how far Carter Wilkerson has gotten — as the Tweet — currently hovering around 2.67 million retweets (and sadly — only 674,485 favs) is giving the most popular Tweet of all time (Ellen DeGeneres’ Oscar selfie) a run for its money.

And folks have been digging our nugg needing man, and have endorsed his struggle for nuggs, from the likes of no less than .

Even Wendy’s itself is shocked by the outreach, and the hashtag #NuggsForCarter has started trending.

As for Carter, he is not one to let go his surprising nugget based notoriety go without doing good. When you go to NuggsForCarter.com, you will find a selection of Nugg based t-shirts, and the money raised on said shirts will go to breast cancer based charities including Moms on the Run.
