After comedian Kathy Griffin posted a photo of her holding a fake model of Donald Trump’s bloody severed head, controversy has erupted. Kathy Griffin posted the image to TMZ, and warning, the photos are very graphic.
The photo created controversy — as many considered it tasteless. The fallout of the image resulted in Kathy Griffin being dropped from her advertisements from Squatty Potty and from her annual CNN New Year’s Eve broadcast with Anderson Cooper. Trump himself tweeted out about the photo saying —
And many others were outraged by the violence of the photograph. Kathy Griffin has since apologized, saying —
“I crossed the line — I move the line and then I cross it. I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people. It wasn’t funny. I get it,”
