What is it with teachers trolling students, students trolling teachers, and then just putting it all over the Internet? Is this the new relationship kids and teachers have? This is not elder respecting, but it is fun! Mr. Marshall, a sixth-grade teacher, banned bottle flipping only to surprise his students with a three and a half minute video showing his mastery over the bottle flipping form.
That’s right, you would think a teacher who banned bottle flipping would be the enemy of bottle flipping! And yet, this is not the case! Each and every bottle flip is a perfect little masterpiece.
Yet how did this mastery come about? The teacher explains in the FAQ at the bottom of this video.
The grade 6 teachers really tried to meet the kids halfway on this one this year. We worked bottle flipping into our motion geometry unit in math, we used bottle flipping to develop testable questions and identify variables in science, but by November the kids still couldn’t resist the urge to flip the water bottles on their desks at the most inopportune times. Recess? Fair game.
