  • Tina Fey came on SNL to great applause in order to deliver a monologue that has gained some controversy. The monologue — which concerns current events in the news — nazi events — has Tina Fey expressing that she doesn’t want to see any more people getting hurt, saying they should instead buy a sheet cake and yell into it when they’re upset. Like when the nazis, Ann Coulter, or Trump make you upset — you yell into the cake!

The idea — which implies that its better to not engage nazis and they’ll go away on their own, has gained a lot of critics due to the concept that well— nazis will just grow if you don’t fight them, and inaction is a privilege that not everyone has — especially if you are the target of said nazis, which many — people of color, Jews, Muslims, the LGBTQ and many more are. Many had opinions about the sketch which they expressed on Twitter.
