Lil Pump is a 17-year-old SoundCloud rapper from Florida who’s new mixtape is helping break from YouTube to the mainstream. Lil Pump debuted on YouTube last year with this self-titled single featuring his producer Smokepurpp.
Lil Pump is known for his drowsy, Xanax-heavy rap style. On his social, Lil Pump shoots guns in the air for no reason while shouting his tagline ‘esketit.’ ‘Esketit’ is a slang word Lil Pump uses a lot to mean “making money.”
This summer, Lil Pump dropped the music video for “Boss,” produced by South Florida rapper Diablo, featuring a tighter, more professional sound. In June, Lil Pump was signed to major record label Warner Brothers.
Also, he got pink dreadlocks! Still got the braces, though.This month, Lil Pump dropped a self-titled mixtape, featuring heavy-hitters of hip hop.
The mixtape features Chief Keef, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Lil Yachty, and more. The Lil Pump mixtape also debuted at number three on the Billboard Top 200. The video for “Gucci Gang” climbed to over 4 million views in less than a day after premiering.
