Imagine this — you’re biking along when suddenly you see the president’s motorcade returning from what is — if our research correctly shows — his bajillionth trip golfing as the world around him collapses into chaos. Oh, Donald Trump. Good old paper towel tossing Donald Trump! So, what do you do? What do you WANT to do? Well, one Juli Briskman did what all of us would certainly want to do — she flipped off President Trump as she passed him on his bike.
Nice.
A photo of the flip off quickly went viral. Juli Briskman explained her reasons behind giving Donald Trump the finger —
He was passing by and my blood just started to boil… I’m thinking, DACA recipients are getting kicked out. He pulled ads for open enrollment in Obamacare. Only one-third of Puerto Rico has power. I’m thinking, he’s at the damn golf course again.
Well, we all had a good laugh at the photo — including Briskman who posted the photo as her avatar on various social media sites. Unfortunately, this led to the ire of her company — Akima LLC— which let her go over the “lewd gesture.” There is a lot of double standards here, as Briskman pointed out, as a male coworker who actually had the company’s logo as his Facebook cover photo (Briskman did not), only got a warning for calling someone “a f***ing libtard a**hole” from his Facebook page. Whether the double standard is due to the politics or due to gender, it is not a good look for Akima LLC. Boo!
Briskman tells the Huffington Post that she has no regrets since the photo resonated so well with so many people and is looking for a new job with an advocacy group she believes in such as PETA or Planned Parenthood. Good luck, Briskman!
