  • People are submitting pictures that they sneakily took of guys they find attractive riding the train.

People interested in men are posting their secret photos of attractive men riding the train to the website TubeCrush, and now academics are studying what makes these men “attractive”— and reasonable people are calling to question this entire discourse.

Because it’s weird to take photos of people without their knowledge, and it’s weird to post those photos without their knowledge, and it’s weird to study those photos without their knowledge! Based out of London, the website says QUOTE, “Here you can view pages of Tube Crush™ guys going about their daily lives often not knowing the joy they bring to their fellow passenger admirers.

Not only can you comment on the photos of random men, you can also rate them. But that’s not all!!!

Researchers at Coventry University and Aberystwyth University did some #science to figure out which features were the most prominent among the sites favorite photos, and which were the least. Muscular physique beat out skinny guys, and expensive looking clothes beat out shabby chiq style.

Anyone could have done this research like I don’t think it took “academics” but here we are.

Lead researched Adrienne Evans said QUOTE, “From smart-suited City workers to toned gym-goers flashing their flesh, the men featured in the photographs on TubeCrush show that as a culture we still celebrate masculinity in the form of money and muscle. It’s a problem because although it appears as though we have moved forward, our desires are still mostly about money and strength.”

Isn’t this creepy to anyone? What’s with the double standards here?
