  • In a powerful decision, TIME Magazine has named “The Silence Breakers,” also known as the #MeToo movement, as the Person of the Year, beating out a short list that included Donald Trump, Colin Kaepernick, Kim Jong Un and Wonder Woman director, Patty Jenkins. TIME Magazine did a profile of the women who have to suffer — either silently or not — through all classes of life, from maid to movie star — that you can read here.

The profile tells us about horrifying stories from Hollywood – such as Selma Blair’s experiences being harassed by James Toback, and outside of it, such as a maid who was surprised by a hotel guest who showed her his erect penis. The profile covered how women have been afraid of coming out about these assaults due to blowback, but now are not afraid anymore.

”Actors and writers and journalists and dishwashers and fruit pickers alike: they’d had enough. What had manifested as shame exploded into outrage. Fear became fury.”

The entire profile is incredible and should be read. But, what do you think? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter at @WhatsTrending.
