The Game Awards took place yesterday, and like many video game events it was a combination of awards, games so beautiful I wept into my little fists, and also shameless marketing. Sometimes though, the combination is so pure and weird it gives birth to something special. A child mayhaps. A child coming from — The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus’ throat? Mayhaps, my friend, mayhaps.
The child came out of Norman Reedus’ throat in the trailer for Metal Gear Solid developer Hideo Kojima’s new game “Death Stranding,” and we know very little about it except for a few things — it’ll probably be brilliant, it’ll be trippy as all hell, and also there’s a throat baby in it. We see the throat baby first when Reedus rescues him from this growing black blob, then we see him again shooting finger guns out of Reedus’ throat. All we are saying is video games are art and sometimes art has finger gunning babies in it. Check out the full trailer below. It looks amazing. No need to meme it, you massive dweebs! Yeesh!
