Rihanna’s Cousin Killed by Gun Violence

Rihanna went to Instagram on December 26th to mourn her twenty-one-year-old cousin who was killed by gun violence. The event happened only a few days after she last saw him on Christmas. Rihanna wrote —

RIP cousin… can’t believe it was just last night that I held you in my arms! never thought that would be the last time I felt the warmth in your body!!! Love you always man! #endgunviolence

Rihanna’s cousin is named Tayvon Kaiseen Alleyne and he passed after falling victim in a shooting in Barbados. Rihanna also added a video of her late cousin which can be found here.

Making headlines is also Rihanna’s tagging of the phrase “end gun violence.” Gun violence has been a horrible problem as of late, with twelve thousand homicides a year due to gun violence taking place in this country, and the deadliest shooting in history taking place in Las Vegas just a few months ago. Rihanna’s loss is an unspeakable tragedy and our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
