Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen went on a BAD DATE!

“You know when straight people know two gay guys, they’re like ‘oh you guys should meet?’ recalls Anderson Cooper on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show as he sits next to Andy Cohen. Anderson Cooper recalls getting off the phone with a young Andy Cohen, and said he immediately wanted to not go on a date with him at all! His idea of the now Bravo host was that of a man directing air traffic over a bluetooth. Plus — Andy Cohen violated Anderson Cooper’s cardinal deal breaker — he brought up his famous mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, in the first few minutes!

Andy Cohen protests that he just wanted to know about the Vanderbilt boy, but Anderson Cooper just sits there, unsmiling, finding the whole thing unamusing. So, if you’ve ever wanted to know what it would feel like if Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper went on a date, just know both people would be completely on brand. Andy Cohen would be roguishly but intolerably obnoxious, and Anderson Cooper would feel a lot of things. The world is a wide array of personalities and at times they bring up the conflicted selves from within. Excelsior!
