Someone recently set the world record for building the world’s smallest pencil, so we decided to se what other things are the smallest of their kind — here are the world’s tiniest things.

The world’s smallest pencil: Now, I know what you’re thinking. Who uses pencils anymore? Well, a man from northern India does, and he just set a new world record for the smallest pencil in the world. It’s only five millimeters long and half a millimeter wide, and it broke the previous record set by Australian, Jake Gargiulo. Believe it or not, the world record for tiniest pencil is actually quite competitive. These little girls tried to break the record and, unfortunately, failed. Watch —

The world’s smallest chair: A Jordanian man named Mazid Yusuf made these wood and metal chairs that apparently only stand 4.5 mm high. But, does it count as a chair if nobody can sit on it?

Now, moving onto animals. This is the white-toothed pygmy shrew. It’s the smallest known mammal in the world. It weighs, on average, about 1/16 of an ounce, and it has sort whiskers and 30 teeth.Check it out below —

Next, we have the world’s smallest lizard. Found in Madagascar this chameleon reaches a maximum length of 29mm, and is about the size of a match head. Supposedly, these lizards got smaller over time due to their island habitat getting smaller and smaller.

Finally, we have the world’s smallest fish. It’s called the Paedocypris progenetica, and was actually just discovered this past decade on the island of Sumatra. They measure about 7.9 millimeters.

Okay. Enough about animals. The last thing on our list is the world’s smallest car — the Peel P50. The Peel P50 is a 3-wheeled car that was manufactured from 1962-1965. In 2010 it was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for smallest production car ever made. Downside of this car? It doesn’t have a reverse gear, but because it’s so lightweight, you could probably just movie it yourself.
