Dick’s Sporting Goods to No Longer Sell Guns

While it might take some time for the NRA funded politicians to listen to their vocal constituents, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Walmart have paid attention to the current political climate and taken quick action. Dick’s Sporting Goods — the biggest sporting goods store chain in America — has announced they will no longer be selling assault rifles in its stores. Walmart has announced that they will no longer be selling assault weapons to those younger than 21, and removing all toys of assault weapons out of their stores.

These actions are in direct response to the Parkland, Florida school shooting — with Dick’s Sporting Goods specifically noting the fact that the Parkland shooter purchased an assault rifle at their store (not the one he used in the shooting). Dick’s full statement can be seen below — where it additionally implores lawmakers to enact sensible gun control.
