People’s shocked reactions to the visual super mess that is “Ready Player One,” are honestly, to me, a little baffling. After years and years of untold nostalgia style revisiting — new Star Wars movies, riffs on the 80’s in Robot Chicken and Rick and Morty, and a Blade Runner movie where a new Blade Runner meets and old Blade Runner — we can’t be too shocked that a movie that is all nostalgia such as “Ready Player One” exists. Although I’ll be honest — this batch of posters is really, really a new step in just… pure badness. We’re looking at posters that are fewer homages, and much more bad photoshops of the z grade looking video game characters put into movies we enjoy a lot more than this one.
