  • Bisexual visibility, much like other forms of queer visibility, is having a very slow crawl out of the closet. Most stars are sort of coy about it, even when the coyness is unbelievably overt (Janelle Monae’s last video is a clear example), and Harry Styles may have hinted at his sexuality being bi in a new song he premiered at a concert — “Medicine.”

Twitter users have posted photos of Styles carrying the LGBT flag, and while all of “Medicine” hints at a gay relationship, these lyrics, in particular, have pointed fans into wondering if Styles is hinting at his own sexuality —

Tingle running through my blood, fingers to my toes

    Tingle running through my bones

The boys and the girls are here

    I mess ’round a bit

    And I’m okay with it

The boys and girls are here

    I’m messing ’round with them

    And I’m okay with it

Messing around with boys and girls you say? My goodness. Well, absolutely “Medicine” is a bi anthem, and now the real question is whether or not Styles himself is bisexual. In the past Styles has been dodging when answering questions about his sexuality, so maybe the answer is extremely yes. Or it could be anything really. As a rule, I think it’s only okay to wonder aloud if a celebrity is LGBTQ on a blog if they hint at it through song, and buddy, Styles has done just that. The fans are a-twitter (on Twitter no less). Here are some of their thoughts.
