BREAKING: Active Shooter at YouTube Headquarters in San Bruno

Although details that are coming in are scarce, there are reports of an active shooter currently at YouTube’s headquarters in Northern California in San Bruno. The headquarters are currently on lockdown, and our main source of information are tweets from the employees currently barricaded inside YouTube. Employees are tweeting out that they are currently barricaded and locked in inside their offices, while those outside are tweeting photos of the police arriving at the scene.

Information is scarce so far, with a police chief saying: “it is a very active scene.” These reports so far are unconfirmed, but according to CBS and this screenshot of a text conversation, YouTube employees were informed of this by fire alarm of the chaos, and are currently on lockdown inside their offices after hearing gunshots. There was information tweeted out additionally that the shooter may have been a woman and may have shot two people, but the information is on Twitter and thus far unsubstantiated.
