  • Marvel, after it threw all of the existing hyper-popular chess pieces up in the air in Avengers: Infinity War, started hinting at all the new franchises to come. Nova and The Eternals have both been discussed to be in the mix for upcoming Marvel movies, but a much bigger deal is Kevin Feige announcing that Ms. Marvel is set for a film once Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel makes her cinematic debut.

  • Ms. Marvel, also known as Kamala Khan, made her Marvel premiere in 2013 and has since risen to popularity and prominence. Kamala made headlines for being Marvel’s first Muslim hero. Under the editorial eye of Sana Amanat (who was invited to meet Barack Obama for her hand in the co-creation of Ms. Marvel), Steve Wacker and writer, G. Willow Wilson, who wrote the majority of Kamala’s adventures (Adrian Alphona drew the first arc of her series), she quickly became one of Marvel’s most popular and more relatable heroes.

She joined The Avengers, The Champions and even The Exiles from an alternate reality, and was heavily featured in the video game Lego Marvel Superheroes 2. Few superheroes rise so quickly who were created so recently (even Deadpool took about 15 years to get to where he is now), and fans are absolutely excited to see Kamala in the movies. The video above shows her in action on the DisneyXD Avengers cartoon.
